As the situation with COVID-19 evolves, so does the need for evolving patient and client care protocols. We are striving to help “flatten the curve” while still providing healthcare to our pets. As such, it has become necessary to allow ONLY pets and staff to enter our hospital.

We understand that visiting the veterinarian is a stressful time for your pets. Please rest assured that we will treat your pets with the same care and love as we would treat our own. If your pet has special needs, please let us know so that we can accommodate.

Below are some specific ways we will be operating:

Early arrivals (surgery):

Please call the hospital from the parking lot when you arrive. A staff member will go over the pre-surgical questions with you and likely discuss the estimate and either a consent form will be brought out to be signed, or verbal consent will be obtained by arrangement. At this time we ask that no personal belongings accompany your pet. As usual, when the surgery is finished we will call with an update and home care instructions, then arrange a time for you to take your pet home. Payment can be settled at that time via credit card over the phone or by mobile payment machine. Instructions to care for your pet at home will be emailed to you. When you arrive for your pet, please call the clinic and a technician will bring your pet out to you.


Please call when you arrive at the hospital. A staff member will transfer you to a veterinarian to discuss your pet’s concerns over the phone and outline a plan. A staff member will then meet you at the front door to bring your pet to the veterinarian for an examination. Your veterinarian will discuss a diagnostic and/or treatment plan based on his/her findings over the phone. Payment will be collected over the phone or a mobile payment machine will be utilized. Your pet and any medications will be brought to the front door for you.

An exception will be made for end of life appointments as we understand this is an incredibly difficult time. However, if you are feeling ill, have travelled outside of the country or have been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19, we ask that you please send a family member or friend to the appointment.

Food and medication pickup:

Please call ahead for medication refills and food requests so we can ensure everything is ready for your arrival. Given the circumstances and recent spike in orders and the possible delayed delivery time of suppliers, there may be a greater delay than usual. Please understand we may have to limit the amount of food or medication to your typical refilled amount to ensure access to as many pets as possible.

We will call you when your order is ready for pick up. Please call us when you have arrived in the parking lot. Payment may be taken over the phone or by mobile payment machine and a staff member will meet you at the front door with your products.

If you do not have a cellphone, please let us know so that we can make an alternative arrangement

We are discouraging the use of cash. Please have a ‘card’ form of payment if possible.
