Dr. Lin Khoo

Dr Lin Khoo grew up in the UK, and always knew that she wanted to be a vet. She worked as a veterinary nurse before attending the Royal Veterinary College in London, England, where she graduated in 2011 with her Veterinary degree, along with a degree in Veterinary Conservation Medicine. Her first 2 years in mixed practice were spent working with a range of animals, from tortoises, chinchillas, puppies and kittens, to horses, chickens and cows! In 2013, she made the move to beautiful Vancouver, and she has fallen in love with West Coast living. Lin joined us after working in a busy practice in the heart of the city, where she honed her skills, managing critically ill patients and high volumes of emergency cases. She has a passion for preventative healthcare, and a drive to help owners take the best possible care of their pets, whilst aiming to provide excellence in treatment when her patients are unwell. She is an experienced and confident surgeon, and takes great pleasure in helping animals of all kinds. When she's not in the clinic, you can probably find her exploring the BC coast line or on a muddy trail with her gorgeous dog, Leo. Lin is an avid sportswoman and plays competitive netball, but is equally happy on the sofa with a good book and a glass of wine! She looks forward to getting to know you and your pets.
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Christine Ong

Dr. Christine Ong was born in Singapore but at an early age came to Canada and was lucky enough to grow up in beautiful North Vancouver. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science from UBC she moved to New Zealand for five years where she earned her veterinary degree at Massey University. Dr. Ong worked at a busy animal hospital in Vancouver for 10 years where she gained an incredible wealth of experience and continued learning. She finds all aspects of veterinary medicine rewarding but particularly enjoys the fields of dentistry, internal medicine and the opportunity to make long-term relationships with pet families. Her own family has expanded now to include a supportive husband, daughter Cecily, son Griffin and a senior Boston Terrier named Tyson. Much of her time outside the clinic is spent being a busy mom but you will also find her in the dance studio, eating at new restaurants, baking, or most importantly just trying to slow down and enjoy the precious moments. What Dr. Ong loves most about working in this animal hospital is its collaborative environment comprised of vets and support staff who all have the passion and drive to ensure that you and your pets receive the best advice and care.

Sabrina

Sabrina's fondness for animals came naturally to her. She has always had a keen interest in their welfare and overall well-being, and was drawn to them since childhood. Spending time with the outdoor cats, helping injured wildlife, walking neighbourhood dogs, riding horses, teaching herself about animal training and more, were all part of the foundation which inspired Sabrina. The desire to work in the veterinary field was imminent. She has been a member of the team since 2008 and expanded her knowledge by becoming a Registered Veterinary Technologist in 2015, after completing the program at Douglas College. Sabrina's efficiency and attention to detail are an asset when working with your pets. She particularly enjoys the aspect of client education, and finds it rewarding to take part in improving the quality of your pets' lives. Sabrina holds a special place in her heart for the Boxer patients and adores the breed, especially after having her boy, Diesel.

Barbie worked in Accounting/Finance in both England and Canada for 25 years. She made a big decision to follow her love of helping animals and went back to school to become a Veterinary Assistant, then went back school again to become a Veterinary Technician; graduating from Douglas College in 2013. After working at a few clinics, she came to Eagle Ridge in February 2017 and is very happy to be back after working here briefly between schooling. Barbie has a special interest in working with all species which makes Eagle Ridge the perfect place for her to be! She also volunteers at Spay & Neuter Clinics and “Paws for Hope”, an organization that provides free clinics for pets of the homeless and low income.

Justine D.

Justine decided to become a Registered Veterinary Technologist because of her passion for animals. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture majoring in Animal Science. After working for a couple of years in agriculture, Justine decided to go back to school for the VTEC program at Douglas College and joined us in January of 2017 working part-time while going to school. After completing the program in 2018 she joined us full time and has developed a special interest for dentistry since being here. While attending university, Justine played for the hockey team and still enjoys playing in her spare time. She also loves going on hikes and adventures with her happy golden retriever, Nash.
