Every month we are featuring one pet on our Facebook cover photo and website. July’s Pet of the Month is Marshall!
Marshall is a beautiful 7-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog X Giant Malamute, weighing a mere 143 lbs. He is the very definition of a gentle giant. Marshall is a certified therapy dog for St. John Ambulance and regularly visits an elementary school providing calm therapy for children with anxiety, as well as a nice soft fluffy hug for anyone who needs it. He loves to play hide and seek with the students and loves story time with the kids, especially when they read “Walter the Farting Dog” books. He continues to surprise everyone by remembering where every room is in the school, and will take you to that room if you ask him to. He is always with his owner, Lyn-Nell, who always holds his leash to give him quiet guidance and gentle direction wherever he goes. He is part of the school and recently the school held a fundraiser to pay for surgery from a torn ACL. He is that loved that the students wanted to help in any way that they could.
